"My first meeting with José Manuel Caneda was 28th of august 2008. One day before I arrived in Santiago de Compostela and finished my camino. At the airport I wanted to change my flight ticket back to Germany. So I called for a taxi and José appeared. He was absolutly fit in english, so we could talk fluently. Next day he drove me to Finisterre and back again after 2 hours. The price was more than fair!! José was an absolutly cautious driver with his clean and good looking taxi. 2010 I returned with my wife Rose to Santiago and José was waiting for more than 1 hour at the airport because it was terrible storming and raining. The plane nearly crashed by touching the ground. We stayed some days and again José brought us to Finisterre. He also he arranged for us a rent car. In 2011 I was lucky to survive an accident with my bike. As a real "peregrino" I returned to the camino to light some candels . I wanted to say " muchas gracias" to Hl. Jakobus. And again I met José taking me to León. But the very best happend in 2013. I arrived with 2 other pilgrims and José drove us to Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port in the pyrenees. It was nearly uncredible that he did this, coming from Santiago!
Summary: José Manuel Caneda is one of the best taxi driver I ever met: safe, responsible, calm, perfect in english with an excellent car.

"My first Camino I contested in 2008 finishing in Santiago de Compostella, and it was here that I learned to know and appreciate José. He took me with his taxi to Cap fisterra. On the way he gave me a lot of interesting information concerning the landscape as well as the people and the history of the region we passed. He's a save driver and a really nice guy. And what is likely to be important for many pilgrims probably, in moments we need some minutes for ourselves José waits patiently so the trip doesn´t become hasty. Meanwhile, I had two more times on the Camino, and who was probably my taxi driver in and around SdC?! Thank you for everything José :-) "
